As we all know that Airports play an important role in connecting regions, enabling trade, and promoting tourism in a country, Nigeria has about 32 airports and 26 of them are run by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) while five (5) of them are international airports that are up and running with a state owned airport chilling in Akwa Ibom State.

So, those are some of the reasons why airports are missing in these states, money, geography, population, and lack of private investment all play a role in building an airport in a state.
